ROBIN'S FINDS
This week C.J. did not come with me. He was out canoeing on the Colorado River with my dad and brothers.
11/26/2011
There were few garage sales out this week most likely due to Thanksgiving and the fact that most people still have family in town however I still found plenty of things to buy!
New shirt with tags still on it! Suggested retail is $36.00 on this shirt!
Pink lace vest
Black fringe vest. Not sure what I will do with this but I think it is such a fun vest.
The girl I bought these four pieces of clothing from wanted 8 dollars for the white shirt with tags and 3 on the pink vest which is a total of $12. In my opinion a little to high priced but I was able to talk her down to $15 for all four items! I got each one for about $3.75. Still a little bit high for me but one of the shirts was new and this white and pink one hasn't even been worn so I went for it.
Here is what I did with it!
My shoes are also from a garage sale!
I could't help myself with this one. I love old things! This is such a cool old book and I have a vintage room I am working on so I am sure I can find a spot for it in there. Maybe something like this...
Is anyone into these Samantha dolls? I have a friend that collects them. I got this one for $3. It will make a great gift!
I am always looking for crafts for Jaysa and her friends to do. I got these for .50 cents! They will stay extra busy while painting them!
These are old first time reader books. They will be great for when I teach Jaysa how to read because they have one sentence per page. My mom taught me how to read on antique Dick and Jane books and I loved it so I thought these would be fun for her. I got all of them for $4. The women I bought these from wanted .50 cents a piece for these books. That would have made the lot $6 dollars however I asked for a lot price and she went down to $4!
Hello Kitty bed tray for $1. I have a 5 year old niece that has brain cancer. I usually try to pick something up for her every week while garage saleing so I can send it to her the following week. She is in the hospital a lot getting chemo treatments and LOVES Hello Kitty so she will LOVE this! I can't wait to send it to her!
This is one of those really nice wood car tracks with all the track pieces inside.I bought it for $3! Jaysa loves to make tracks for her car to drive on out of blocks. She will love this but I am going to save it for her birthday in January. Sorry I didn't get a picture of the track all set up because I didn't want her to see it.
DEAL OF THE DAY
I always try to pick these up when they are cheap because they make good gifts to friends who are having kids. I bought this one for $5 dollars. In stores these babies are expensive! I found the exact same one on the Target.com website for 36.99! I saved $32 on the next baby gift!

LESSON LEARNED
I picked up this bumbo at a garage sale and was going to buy it but realized I only had $5 dollars left and a lot more garage sales to shop at. For that reason I put the bumbo down and left. As I was driving around and looking for signs I couldn't stop thinking about the bumbo so I went back to buy it with my last $5. When I got there a man had it in his hand. I was so disappointed but decided to watch him for a little while to see if he would put it down. After about 5 mins he put it down and walked off. Trying to keep my composure and not jump for joy I walked over, picked it up and paid for it. Lesson Learn: 1. Always bring enough cash. 2. if someone has something you are interested in hang around and see if they put it down. If they do that means they don't want it and it's all yours!
DEAL OF THE DAY #2!
Here's another great deal. I got these little swimmers for .50 cents. This is a bag of 11 and they are all there. I actually had no idea how expensive these are because I have never bought them in stores. I just always pick them up at garage sales and save them till the summer. OTHER AWESOME DEALS
Does anyone's kids love the Littlest Pet Shops? Jaysa loves these. I bought her this same tree house from a garage sale a while back for $5. They only wanted $2 for this one!
Belts! I didn't buy any of these cause they weren't quite my style but I will say that most of my belts have come from garage sales just like this! They came brand new in the packaging! This lady only wanted $2 a belt and I think thats about what I paid for my belts.
Loved this candle holder but my house is over flowing with home decor just like this so I didn't buy it.
Buttons
and earings
I love buying these at garage sales because they make cute centers for bows. I make all of my girls bows so finding cute buttons and earrings means a cute bow for a cute outfit!
Here's a few examples of using buttons and old earrings as centers for girls bows!
This center is an old button
and this one is from an old clip on earring.
You can use anything as a center piece! So keep your eyes open while garage saleing!
This women only wanted $20 for this set. To be honest they were old sets that she just spray painted but why go through the trouble and time if you can find it this cheap!
She also had a green set but wanted a $100 for this set
It came with 3 chairs, the little table and a bar.
Fun island feel!
New purses!
This orange one was $10
and the gold zebra one was only $4!
$5. These are so helpful. I asked the lady if she would go down to three on this but she wouldn't so I put it down politely said thank you and walked back to my car. There is nothing wrong with putting something back after someone says they won't go down.
I didn't buy these cause I thought the prices were a little high but I just wanted to show you that you can get brand new jewelry at garage sales too!
Tool Sale
There are ALWAYS tool sales. This is a great way to find the tools you need for your projects instead of buying them brand new. My husband would have been all over this sale. If I had known what I was looking at I might have tried but I had no idea what I was doing so I just took a picture. Ha!
I am not brave enough but I just wanted to show you that you can find flat screen T.V's at garage sales! This is a 47 inch Samsung.
